American Legion meets at the Augusta Senior Center located at the corner of Osage and HWY 54 on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.  All Area Veterans are welcome to come visit and learn more.


Leonard Whitehill Augusta  American Legion Post 189 is a local charted group of USA service veterans of the National American Legion, the largest veteran service organization in he world.  Post 189 members strive to accomplish the 4 service pillars of the National American Legion:  1.  taking care of US veterans; 2. Service to youth, communith and families;3.  National Security education and support; 4. Support of youth, community with local area service projects.
Members work with local businesses because we need each other; we strive to support local business; local businessess will support American Legion projects with financial, products or advertising assistance as needed.  Post members are available for local groups, schools, churches, COC, etc., to provide veteran information, educate students in regard to veterans, flag education, national security, etc.
